Have this ready
Your street address, or the news that the house runs on a private well. Your household size. Where your water line enters, plus the old softener’s spot, if there is one. Any lab report from the well.
One price on the phone, no sales visit
The price is given during the call. Nobody in sales comes to your house, before or after.
If you are on a well
Say so first. A well house in New Berlin draws the old groundwater rather than the lake water, so the quote starts from your lab results instead of the city’s figure.
If you are on city water
The utility’s advice is that you should no longer need a softener. Call anyway if you have questions; the answer may well be that you do not need one.
Whose name is on the work
New Berlin Softener Co. is a trade name, and the Wisconsin company that owns it is ZeroGrain Water LLC. It sizes and supplies each softener and arranges its installation, and a contractor carrying a Wisconsin plumbing license performs the installation.
